Oxygen Sensor/Overview
  Oxygen Sensor - Lambda Sensor

Lambda sensors, is most often used in OEM and aftermarket sectors. Since inventing the Lambda sensor in 1970's and have continuously enhancing it ever since. All new cars produced in Europe are fitted with at least two Lambda sensors. We provide 2 ranges of sensors, Direct Fit Range and Universal Range, which are manufactured in the same way whether they are supplied for original fit or the aftermarket. The lambda sensor is a key component of vehicle's fuel injection system, and is a major factor in determining fuel consumption. Only if the sensor is working perfectly the engine will be able to operate to its full performance capacity and reach the emission limits.

Exhaust emission standards and limit values are becoming stricter and stricter. The trend in emission values clearly shows that lambda sensors have become indispensable in the fight to reduce exhaust emissions efficiently. In China, there are more than 15 million passenger cars equipped with gasoline engine. Many newer vehicles actually have two (or more) lambda sensors. Lambda sensor measures oxygen in emission, it means engine combustion could be controlled by optimizing catalytic converter. Result: minimize the emission, optimize engine performance, save fuel consumption upto 15%.

Lambda sensor measures oxygen in emission, and reports the voltage signal to ECU, reflecting air fuel ratio is lean or rich. ECU controls fuel injection and air charge accordingly, for the best air fuel ratio (λ=1) status for engine running, which is the ideal condition for working of catalytic converter. If the mixed air is too rich (λ<1), fuel injection need to be decreased; if the mixed air is too lean, the fuel injection need to be increased (λ<1).

In conventional engine management system, there is only one lambda sensor which is called control lambda sensor, equipped at upstream of catalytic converter. The newer version of passenger car is also equipped with diagnostics lambda sensor, equipped at downstream of catalytic converter. The reason is : the voltage output would be deviated due to lambda sensor damaged. Diagnostic lambda sensor could check if the control lambda sensor worked in best work condition, and ECU could then calculate amount of the compensation required to rectify any deviation.

Advantages of our Lambda sensors to the customer:

1. Serves to optimize fuel consumption, engine output, driving properties and ensures emission levels are low.
2. Up to 15% fuel saving in comparison to a significantly aged or faulty lambda sensor.
3. Prevents any possible damage to the catalytic converter.
4. More driving pleasure with enhanced engine power.

 Advantages of our Lambda sensors:

1. Comply 100% with the vehicle manufacturers specifications.
2. Supplied with the original connector which fits perfectly into the vehicle.
3. Each sensor is tested before it is delivered.
4. Ready for operation quickly through rapid heating up.

 Universal lambda sensors
Thanks to the support of the universal plug, a small number of universal lambda sensors replace a large number of original sensors. Therefore the cable of the built-in sensor is cut at a suitable point. The universal plug is now connecting the universal sensor together with the end of the cable in the vehicle.
